The Parkes Open is held annually on the third Sunday of September, featuring a 27 hole stroke play competition. The Open weekend as a whole includes a Stableford and 4BBB competition on the Friday and Saturday. The Parkes Open is a great opportunity to test your skills against some of the best golfers across NSW. It is also a great way to have fun and socialise with other golfers.

The 2023 Parkes Open will take place over three days, from Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th. The main Stroke Play event is on Sunday.

The Friday event is optional.

The 2023 Parkes Open will take place at the Parkes Golf Club, London Road, Parkes NSW. Get Directions

There are two ways to register for the 2023 Parkes Open.

  • Online registration: You can register online by filling out our registration form and paying the registration fee.
  • In-person registration: You can also register in person by calling or visiting the Parkes Golf Club.

The Open tournament is limited to male players.

The entry fees for the 2023 Parkes Open are as follows:

  • Friday: 18 Hole Stableford – \$20.00
  • Saturday: 4BBB – \$35.00
  • Sunday: 27 Hole Open Tournament (Stroke event) – \$70.00

The entry fees are per person, per day.

The Parkes Golf Club is renowned for its relaxed and friendly environment, yet still upholds a minimum standard for its dress code. As a general rule, golf gear must be neat and casual. No singlets or open foot ware.

The schedule of events for the 2023 Parkes Open can be found on our website. The schedule includes the dates and times of all the events.

There is no handicap cut-off, however your handicap will be limited to 27 when you play the Parkes Open.

In the unlikely event that the Parkes Open is to be cancelled, sufficient notice will be provided to players and monies will be refunded. 

No refund of monies shall be given to withdrawals received after 5.00pm, Wednesday 13th September, 2023. 

We expect on the day of the event to have a 2mm to 3mm cut.

The green will be speed measured and information will be available each morning before play begins.

Parkes Golf Club offers a courtesy bus service. The bus runs between the golf club and the town of Parkes, making it easy to get to and from the event. For times and drop-off / pick-up points, please contact the club.

Rogue at the Golfy, the onsite restaurant at Parkes Golf Club, offers a delicious menu of great food, as well as bar service and tea and coffee. You can view the menu online.

The Parkes Open is a rain or shine event. However, if the weather is severe, such as lightning or heavy rain, the tournament may be delayed or canceled.
